Watford close to Mario Suarez deal?

Watford are reportedly on the verge of signing Spanish midfielder Mario Suarez from Fiorentina.

Suarez, who has won three caps for the Spanish national team, joined Fiorentina last summer in a deal that saw Stefan Savic make the switch to Atletico Madrid.

The 28-year-old has struggled to hold down a regular spot in Florence, however, and it is understood that he is keen on a move away before the end of the month.

According to Sky Sports News, Watford have agreed a deal with Fiorentina and have also offered the midfielder a four-year contract.

Suarez was part of the Atletico team that won La Liga in the 2013-14 season and also reached the Champions League final.
