Tom Rosenthal joins Zulte Waregem following Watford release

Watford academy prospect Tom Rosenthal has joined Belgian outfit Zulte Waregem for an undisclosed fee.

The youngster, a Belgian youth international, is said to have returned to his homeland to be close to a family member who is ill.

"Watford didn't want to lose the Belgium youth international but have reluctantly agreed to let the midfielder leave Vicarage Road so he can be close to an ill family member in Belgium," read a statement on the Hornets' website.

"The Hornets would like to wish Tom all the best in his future career."

Rosenthal was a second-year scholar at the Watford youth academy.
