Craig Forsyth scored an 80th-minute winner as Watford beat Leicester City 3-2 in an entertaining match at Vicarage Road tonight.
The hosts took an early lead courtesy of captain Adrian Mariappa. The centre-half, who turned down a move to Wigan Athletic in January, headed in from Sean Murray's cross to net a seventh-minute opener.
Leicester turned the game around in the space of fifteen minutes as David Nugent struck a quickfire double.
The former England striker put the finishing touches to a rapid Foxes counter attack when he cut in from the left to finish from Jermaine Beckford's pass.
It was the same combination who orchestrated Leicester's second goal as Beckford provided a perfectly-timed layoff for Nugent to convert for his 12th of the season.
Sean Dyche's side then replied as Murray added a goal to his earlier assist when his deflected free kick beat Kasper Schmeichel in the visitors' net on 33 minutes.
After a frantic first half, the match calmed down and seemed to be heading for a draw until Forsyth's low drive snatched Watford victory.
The Hornets will be looking to make it six games unbeaten when they travel to Crystal Palace in Championship action on Saturday, while Leicester face Norwich City in the FA Cup.
