Watford and Coventry City both earned a point playing out a 0-0 draw at Vicarage Road.
The home side started the game positively. After six minutes Eustace drifted out wide and collected Dickinson's pass down the Watford left flank. His accurate cross picked out Murray but his header went up and over the bar.
Coventry had a chance on 25 minutes when Nosworthy mistimed his clearance and sliced his kick into the path of Clive Platt. He ran towards goal, but Mariappa was on hand to make the challenge and put it behind for a corner kick.
From the resulting set-piece, Nathan Cameron had the ball in the back of the net, but referee Colin Webster had already blown his whistle for an infringement in the area.
The visitors kept on plugging away and after a number of balls into the area, Platt's downward goal-bound header was scrambled off the line on 30 minutes.
There was still time for another two chances before the interval - one for each side.
On-loan goalkeeper Kuszczak then produced a top-class save to deny Oliver Norwood's stinging drive from around 25 yards.
The sides went in level after a tough 45 minutes.
Coventry were given a let-off on 50 minutes when Eustace's drilled shot was deflected behind by Cameron after a poor clearance landed at the feet of Watford's skipper.
Gary McShreffrey stepped up to take the free-kick and Kuszczak produced his second fantastic save of the afternoon to deny the Scotsman.
Deeney had a shot that sailed just wide, before Eustace's well-hit effort was saved again by Kuszczak.
On 82 minutes, substitute Cody McDonald latched onto the ball, but the striker struck the ball just wide of the post.
Six minutes of time was added on but neither side could find the winning goal and shared the points.
