Wales manager Chris Coleman: 'Team showed unbelievable passion'

Coleman: 'We showed unbelievable passion'

Wales manager Chris Coleman was full of praise for his team after they bounced back to claim a 2-1 victory over Slovakia in their opening Group B match at Euro 2016.

Gareth Bale gave Wales the lead in the 10th minute, but they had to fight back when Ondrej Duda netted an equaliser in the second half.

Substitute Hal Robson-Kanu found the winner in the 81st minute, giving Wales all three points ahead of games against England and Russia.

"In second half, when they got the equaliser, they looked very strong, very physical, they were playing some good football," Coleman told BBC Sport.

"I think they sensed we were jaded, but our lads came again, and showed unbelievable passion to come back. An incredible return."

Wales are competing in their first major tournament since 1958.
