Vitesse run halted by last-gasp Heracles equaliser

Vitesse conceded a 95th-minute equaliser to Heracles as their Eredivisie winning streak was ended at six this evening.

Denni Avdic netted with the last kick of the game to cancel out the lead that Vitesse had held since Bertrand Traore's 21st-minute strike.

Chelsea loanee Traore has played a significant role in the six-match winning run which has seen his side climb to fifth in the table and put them ahead with his seventh goal of the season.

Heracles are in contrasting form, having won just one of their last 11 games, but a string of fine saves from Bram Castro kept them in the contest.

They had chances of their own too, but it was not until deep into stoppage time that they took one as Avdic latched on to Ramon Zomer's ball and thrashed home to secure the hosts what could be a crucial point in their relegation fight.
