De Guzman wants Swansea stay

Jonathan de Guzman has admitted that he would like to turn his loan spell with Swansea City into a permanent switch.

As it stands, the 25-year-old will return to his parent club Villarreal at the end of the current campaign.

However, the Dutch international has conceded that he has made it known that he would like to become a Swansea player on a full-time basis.

"It has been a great season so far. Winning the Capital One Cup and doing so well with Swansea, as well as winning a Dutch cap, is all a bonus for me," he said.

"It would be good for me to stay here. I have no clue what's being talked about, so it's basically a waiting game for me, but I've made it clear that I want to stay at the club."

The midfielder has scored eight goals for the Swans this season.
