Parejo remains coy on Pizzi talk

Valencia midfielder Dani Parejo has refused to comment on reports linking San Lorenzo coach Juan Antonio Pizzi with the managerial position at the Mestalla.

Miroslav Djukic's departure at the beginning of the week means that the Spanish outfit are now on the lookout for a new head coach after struggling in the early part of the season.

However, Parejo, who has refused to blame Djukic for the club's problems this campaign, has declined to offer his opinion until an appointment is made.

"I know there's been mention that Pizzi could come, but I think that right now, nothing is solid or signed regarding the new coach, but it's not my decision to make," he told reporters at a press conference.

Pizzi, whose brother has claimed that he is interested in coaching at the Mestalla, played for Valencia for one season in 1993.
