Toulouse enjoy comfortable win

Toulouse beat Nancy 2-0 to take all three points from this evening's Ligue 1 clash.

Toulouse enjoyed a comfortable 2-1 victory over Nancy in this evening's Ligue 1 clash.

Nancy had the first effort on goal through Romain Grange after 12 minutes, but he failed to hit the target with his strike.

Toulouse had their first real opportunity on 40 minutes through Ziri Hammar, but his shot went wide of the mark.

Franck Tabanou had another chance for the home side just before half-time, but he missed with a wild shot that went wide of the post.

After 57 minutes, Tabanou gave Toulouse the lead with a fine header to make it 1-0. Hammar then had a chance to grab an equaliser, but could not find the finish he needed.

Tabanou came close to hitting a second for himself and Toulouse, though his effort was off-target.

Toulouse then all but secured the win when Tabanou did get a second goal, finishing from a fantastic pass by Etienne Didot.

Lossemy Karaboue grabbed a late consolation for Nancy on 90 minutes.
