Report: Jonathan de Guzman close to Queens Park Rangers move

Netherlands international Jonathan de Guzman is reportedly close to joining Queens Park Rangers.

The 26-year-old, who represented his country at this summer's World Cup, is currently back with parent club Villarreal following a loan spell with Swansea City last season.

Swans boss Garry Monk recently admitted that he did not expect De Guzman to re-sign with the Welsh club this summer.

According to Sky Sports News, that is indeed the case, with QPR closing in on a move for the midfielder.

De Guzman has 13 international caps to his name.
