Alfei extends Swansea stay

Swansea City defender Daniel Alfei has signed a two-year contract extension with the Premier League club.

The 21-year-old, who spent last season on loan at Wrexham, has increased his terms at the Liberty Stadium until 2016.

"I'm absolutely delighted," the Welshman is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News. "It's good to know the club has faith in me and there is nowhere I would rather be than Swansea."

Alfei signed his first professional deal with Swansea in 2010 following a four-year spell in the club's youth academy.
