Graeme Jones to replace Brendan Rodgers?

Jones favourite for Swansea job?

Former Swansea City assistant coach Graeme Jones has emerged as the frontrunner to replace Brendan Rodgers at the Liberty Stadium.

The 42-year-old is believed to have moved to the front of the pack after the bookmakers decided to suspend all betting on Jones returning to the Welsh club.

The Swans are in the hunt for a new manager with current boss Brendan Rodgers on the verge of signing for Liverpool after the two clubs agreed a compensation fee for the Northern Irishman.

It is understood that the former Championship outfit have been considering managerial options since February following speculation linking Rodgers to Tottenham Hotspur.

Brighton & Hove Albion coach Gus Poyet has been outlined as a potential candidate for the Swans position, as have Birmingham City's Chris Hughton and Blackpool boss Ian Holloway.
