Swansea were dominant from the start, Pablo Hernandez and Miguel Michu both looking threatening early on.

Michu put the home side in front after nine minutes, firing past Boaz Myhill from close range.

Swansea doubled their advantage just two minutes later with a tap-in from Wayne Routledge, Hernandez providing the assist on both occasions.

West Brom struggled to keep possession of the ball, rarely straying into the Swans' half.

Romelu Lukaku gave the Baggies hope, pulling one back for the visitors on the stroke of half time.
