Garry Monk: 'Swansea City can surprise Napoli'

Garry Monk is confident that Swansea can get a "good result" on Thursday when they face Napoli in the last 32 of the Europa League.

Swansea City head coach Garry Monk has claimed that his side can get a "good result" on Thursday when they face Napoli in the last 32 of the Europa League.

The Swans welcome their Italian counterparts to the Liberty Stadium for the first leg of the knockout tie.

Despite Napoli being favourites to go through to the last 16 of the tournament, Monk believes that his players can surprise their opponents this week.

"They are one of the best teams in Europe. I have watched their matches and they have very good players all the way from the goalkeeper to the attackers," he told the club's official website.

"They are a very powerful team in European football. We will be going up against a very good side, but we believe in ourselves to get a good result."

Swansea travel to Naples for the second leg on February 27.
