Sunderland winger James McLean could be handed a new £10,000-a-week contract at the club, according to The Mirror.
McLean, 22, has scored three goals in 10 appearances since his promotion to the first team under Martin O'Neill.
He is reportedly on £4,000 a week at present, but his emergence as a key player in the club's future is likely to be represented in his new deal.
McLean joined Sunderland from Derry City in 2011.
