Titus Bramble cleared of sexual assault charges

Bramble cleared of sexual assault

Sunderland defender Titus Bramble has been cleared of sexually assaulting two women.

The 30-year-old had been accused of groping one girl on the bottom in the Cross Keys nightclub in Yarm and repeatedly touching another in a taxi on the way home.

However, Bramble denied all charges and argued that all of the actions were consensual in the four-day case finalised at Teeside Crown Court today.

Judge Peter Fox told the jury: "There needs to be proof of the sexual touching of the girl in question [and] that girl in question at the time did not agree to it."

Sunderland have said they will be making no comment on the case.
