Sunderland's Ki Sung-Yueng targets League Cup victory

Ki Sung-Yueng says that Sunderland have a "great opportunity" to win the League Cup after beating Chelsea in the quarter-finals.

Sunderland midfielder Ki Sung-Yueng has said that the club are desperate to reach the final of the League Cup.

The Black Cats claimed a 2-1 win over Chelsea on Tuesday evening to send them through to the semi-finals, and Ki admits that he is relishing the chance to play at Wembley.

"It's an amazing competition, especially for a team like Sunderland," he told the club's official website.

"We have a great opportunity to play at Wembley, which is an honour. I experienced it last year with Swansea and would love that chance again, it's a great prize."

Despite their good form in the League Cup this season, Sunderland are currently bottom of the Premier League table.
