Stoke City are looking to shift six players off their wage bill following the arrival of Michael Owen.

Stoke City have reportedly put six players up for loan in an effort to reduce their wage bill.

According to The Sun, the arrival of Michael Owen has signalled the end for Michael Tonge, Diego Arismendi, Danny Higginbotham, Mama Sidibe, Wilson Palacios and Kenwyne Jones.

The 32-year-old striker completed a move to the Potters earlier this week.

He has signed a 12-month pay-as-you-play contract at the Britannia Stadium.
