Stoke City looking to secure loan deal for Everton defender Cuco Martina?

Championship outfit Stoke City are reportedly closing in on a season-long loan deal for Everton defender Cuco Martina.

Stoke City have reportedly indicated that they want to secure a loan deal for Everton defender Cuco Martina.

New Potters boss Gary Rowett has already made seven first-team signings this summer, including the loan addition of Toffees centre-back Ashley Williams.

According to Sky Sports News, the Championship outfit have now returned to the Merseyside outfit with a bid to sign Martina on a temporary basis.

The 28-year-old only moved to Goodison Park last summer, and the versatile full-back went on to feature on 28 occasions in all competitions.

However, Martina has been pushed down the pecking order since the arrival of new boss Marco Silva, and the Premier League side could be ready to do business before the end of the month.
