Stoke City in Wilson Palacios talks

Stoke City are in talks to sign Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Wilson Palacios, according to BBC Sport.

The Potters have offered a reported £6m for the 27-year-old Honduran international, and hope to finalise a deal in the next 48 hours

"We've made our last bid, the ball is in their court. We shall not be negotiating from where we are," Stoke Chairman Peter Coates told BBC Radio Stoke last week.

"The last conversation I had with Spurs, we had not agreed anything. We'll see what happens, but we haven't got any further."

Palacious joined the North London club from Wigan Athletic in 2009 for £12m.
