Xherdan Shaqiri 'undergoes medical ahead of Stoke City move'

Xherdan Shaqiri is closing in on a move to Stoke City from Inter Milan as he is reportedly undergoing a medical at the Premier League club today.

Following the Potters' 1-0 defeat to Liverpool on Sunday, manager Mark Hughes confirmed that he is hoping to conclude a deal for the winger.

According to Sky Sports News, the 23-year-old, who watched Stoke in action at the Britannia yesterday, is undergoing a medical ahead of finalising a transfer.

Stoke have been heavily linked with Shaqiri throughout the summer, but initially, the Switzerland international reportedly rejected a move to the English club.
