Pulis eyes Whitehead deal

Stoke City manager Tony Pulis has revealed that the club hopes to offer Dean Whitehead a new contract at the end of the season.

The 31-year-old midfielder's current deal at the Britannia Stadium is due to expire in the summer.

"He is one of those that the closer we get to the end of the season we will hopefully discuss things," Pulis told The Sentinel.

Whitehead joined Stoke from Sunderland in 2009 for £5m.
