Begovic: 'Pjanic suited to Spurs'

Stoke City goalkeeper Asmir Begovic has stated his belief that his international teammate Miralem Pjanic would succeed in the Premier League.

Roma attacker Pjanic has been linked with a host of English clubs in the past, including Liverpool, Arsenal and Newcastle United.

However, Begovic feels that his fellow Bosnian is more suited to the style of football that Tottenham Hotspur play.

"Miralem is a great player. He is very talented and has all the qualities to succeed," said the Stoke keeper. "As I know his playing attributes and his style of play I think he would fit perfectly, especially at Spurs.

"As the Premier League is the best league in the world, I think that he would really like to come to England."

Pjanic, 22, joined Roma from Lyon in 2011.
