Asmir Begovic: 'People in England more educated about racism issue than others'

Begovic: 'No major racism problem in England

Stoke City goalkeeper Asmir Begovic believes that there is no major problem of racism in English football.

The 25-year-old says that people in England are more educated about this issue than those in many other countries.

"Here in England the situation is very good," he told BBC Sport. "There are not as many incidents as there may be in other countries but hopefully they can get rid of it all together.

"It is difficult to handle these situations because people in other countries may not be as educated about the racism issue as they are in this country and may not see it as such a foul thing as we do."

Begovic joined Stoke from Portsmouth in 2010.
