Jonathan Woodgate to sign new Stoke City deal?

Stoke City defender Jonathan Woodgate is reportedly close to signing a new deal with the club.

The 32-year-old is on course to trigger a clause in his pay-as-you-play deal that will guarantee him another 12 months at the club, according to the Daily Express.

Woodgate has made 17 appearances in the Premier League for the Potters this season, after joining on a free transfer in the summer.

Stoke face Chelsea in the Premier League on Saturday.
