Bojan Krkic "very happy" to be back from injury

Bojan Krkic says that he feels "really good" after returning from a serious knee injury to take part in the first day of Stoke City's pre-season training.

Stoke City forward Bojan Krkic has expressed his delight after returning to pre-season training with the club.

The 24-year-old has been ruled out of action for the past seven months with a knee injury that he picked up in an FA Cup victory over Rochdale.

He is now able to train with his teammates and he is hopeful of being ready for the club's first Premier League match of the season against Liverpool on August 9.

"I'm very happy to be back and to see everybody again and now my focus is to start the new season playing at the same level I was before I got injured," he told the club's official website.

"I've been working hard the last few months because I wanted to get fit and make sure I was back playing with my teammates on our first day of pre-season.

"Yesterday was my first day back with the team and I feel really, really good so now I have to work hard in July to feel the difference and see if I'm ready for the first game of the season. I know I'm going to come back stronger, I want to enjoy football again and play good football for Stoke City, for the fans, my teammates and of course for myself."

Bojan joined Stoke from Barcelona last summer and scored five goals in his debut season for the Potters.
