St Mirren sign former Derby County striker Callum Ball on a one-year deal.

St Mirren have confirmed the signing of former Derby County striker Callum Ball.

The 21-year-old has penned a one-year deal with the option to extend his stay by a further 12 months.

Ball was released by Derby at the end of last season following a five-year stay with the Rams.

St Mirren start the new Scottish Premiership season with a trip to Motherwell on August 9.
