St Mirren have confirmed that striker James Marwood has left the club.
The 24-year-old has struggled to make an impact for the Saints since he joined them from Gateshead in the summer.
Marwood failed to score in 15 games during his brief spell at St Mirren Park.
"It has been agreed today that James Marwood's contract has been cancelled by mutual consent to allow James to continue his career elsewhere," read a statement on the club's official website.
St Mirren currently occupy 11th place in the Scottish Premiership table.
