Rafael van der Vaart: I would like to play in Italy

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Rafael van der Vaart has admitted that he would like to play in Italy before the end of his career.

The Dutch international has recently been linked with a move away from White Hart Lane, with Juventus, Inter Milan and Schalke all suggested as possible destinations.

"I would like to play in Italy once," the 29-year-old told Dutch Playboy. "Much has been said about the Serie A not being attractive, but I have a good feeling about it."

Van der Vaart joined Spurs from Real Madrid in 2010 for a reported £8m.
