Tottenham transfer news: Spurs to suffer £12.9m loss as three exits touted on deadline day

Spurs exit latest: £12.9m loss, Bissouma stance, Solomon 'discussions'

Tottenham Hotspur are apparently working on three exits before the summer transfer deadline, one of which has already been agreed.

The Lilywhites have been more active than initially expected on September 1 due to a recent ankle injury to Dominic Solanke, whose absence leaves Richarlison as Thomas Frank's only fit centre-forward.

The Brazilian has made an eye-catching start to the 2025-26 campaign under Frank, scoring two goals and providing one assist in three Premier League appearances, but his fitness record is a concern.

It is still not clear how long Solanke will be out for, but Tottenham are understood to have agreed a deal to sign Randal Kolo Muani on loan from Paris Saint-Germain, although the details surrounding a loan option or obligation are still being finalised.

Kolo Muani will follow Xavi Simons, Joao Palhinha, Luka Vuskovic, Kota Takai, Mohammed Kudus, Mathys Tel and Kevin Danso to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and Spurs are simultaneously working to offload some unwanted players before 7pm strikes.

Tottenham 'agree' Bryan Gil sale as Manor Solomon interest revealed

According to Sky Sports News, the Europa League winners have struck an agreement with La Liga outfit Girona to sell fringe attacker Bryan Gil, whom they will receive £8.7m for after his failed four years in North London.

Gil was regarded as a major coup following his £21.6m arrival from Sevilla in the summer of 2021, but he failed to live up to his potential in North London, managing just two assists and zero goals from 43 appearances in all competitions.

The 24-year-old enjoyed better fortunes on loan at Girona last season, coming up with three goals and three assists in 25 La Liga matches, and he will now return to his homeland on a permanent basis at a £12.9m loss.

Gil could be one of two attackers on the way out of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, as journalist Alasdair Gold claims that Crystal Palace are in 'early discussions' over a loan deal for Manor Solomon, whom Leeds United are also keen to re-sign.

Solomon made the bench for Spurs' 1-0 loss to Bournemouth on Saturday after battling back from a calf injury, but he has only ever made six appearances for the Lilywhites since his 2023 arrival.

The Israel international shone for Leeds United with 10 goals and 13 assists from 41 games last term, though, and a return to Elland Road is not beyond the realm of possibility either.

Yves Bissouma Tottenham latest on transfer deadline day

The future of Mali midfielder Yves Bissouma has also been a major talking point throughout the summer, as the former Brighton & Hove Albion man has entered the last 12 months of his deal at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Gold adds that Spurs would ideally like to sell Bissouma in the next hours as a result of his contract situation, as Tottenham risk losing their £25.2m investment for nothing in 2026.

Links with Juventus earlier in the window led nowhere, but Gold highlighted the fact that the Turkish transfer window does not close until later this month (September 12), giving teams more time to get players off the books even after the Premier League deadline.
