Tottenham Hotspur approach Angel Di Maria over free transfer?

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Angel Di Maria has reportedly emerged as a potential transfer target for Tottenham Hotspur.

Throughout the January window, the French giants have been linked with a move for Spurs playmaker Dele Alli, who is said to be keen on a switch to Parc des Princes.

However, according to L'Equipe, the Premier League outfit have responded by registering an interest in one of PSG's creative stars.

Di Maria is out of contract in the summer, leaving him free to hold discussions with any foreign clubs ahead of a possible move in the summer.

Spurs are said to have made first contact with the Argentina international to gauge whether the former Manchester United midfielder would be interested in a return to England.

The 32-year-old has been a regular for PSG this season, contributing three goals and eight assists from 21 outings in Ligue 1 and the Champions League.
