Mauricio Pochettino: 'We want to build the next squad with Hugo Lloris'

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino states that in-demand keeper Hugo Lloris remains a central part of the club's plans going forward in the coming years.

Tottenham Hotspur coach Mauricio Pochettino has insisted that keeper Hugo Lloris remains firmly at the heart of the club's future plans.

Lloris has long been a reported target for Manchester United, but Pochettino has recently moved to state that the French stopper will be a key part of Spurs' plans in the coming years, following some impressive performances already in the Premier League this term.

"There are always rumours about the players, but we want to keep him for the future, not only for the present," said Pochettino, according to The Express.

"We want to build the next squad and the future with him. He is very happy with us."

Lloris has already proven to be a fundamental part of a Spurs side that has so far produced the second-best defensive record in the current campaign.
