Newcastle United have reportedly held talks with Andros Townsend's camp over a possible move to St James' Park.
The 24-year-old has made just three Premier League appearances for Tottenham Hotspur this season and is keen on joining the Magpies, according to The Chronicle.
Spurs are said to value the winger at £14m, although Newcastle are thought to be readying a bid of £12m, the same price as they paid Swansea City for Jonjo Shelvey earlier this week.
Townsend, who has 18 months left on his contract, has recently been playing for Spurs' Under-21 outfit and scored a brace against their Chelsea counterparts on Monday.
He has not played in Mauricio Pochettino's first team since October 22.
