Tottenham Hotspur team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Manchester City

Spurs injury, suspension list vs. Man City

Tottenham Hotspur travel to the Etihad Stadium for the second time in three days on Saturday when they face Manchester City once again in the Premier League.

Spurs produced one of the biggest results in the club's history by earning an away-goals victory over two legs in the Champions League quarter-final, reaching the last four for the first time despite a 4-3 away defeat to City on Wednesday night.

A similar result would be much less effective on Saturday, but having ended Man City's hopes of a quadruple Spurs will be full of confidence that they can deal another heavy blow to their trophy hopes while boosting their own top-four chances in the process.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest injury and suspension news for Mauricio Pochettino ahead of another mouth-watering contest between the two sides.

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR'S INJURY LIST

Harry Kane

Status: Out Type of injury: Ankle Possible return date: Unknown

Tottenham's most high-profile absentee is, of course, Harry Kane, who could miss the remainder of the season with the ankle injury he suffered during the first leg of the Champions League tie between these two sides.

Eric Dier

Status: Major doubt Type of injury: Hip Possible return date: April 20 (vs. Man City)

Eric Dier is expected to return to first-team training on Friday and therefore has an outside chance of featuring this weekend, although he is unlikely to be included from the start having been sidelined since last month's international break.

Harry Winks

Status: Slight doubt Type of injury: Groin Possible return date: April 20 (vs. Man City)

Harry Winks picked up a minor groin injury in training last week and has missed the past two games as a result, although he could be available to return this weekend should he pass a late fitness test.

Serge Aurier

Status: Out Type of injury: Hamstring Possible return date: Unknown

Serge Aurier is also continuing his rehab from a hamstring injury at Tottenham's training ground, with no date yet set for his possible return to first-team action.

Erik Lamela

Status: Major doubt Type of injury: Hamstring Possible return date: April 20 (vs. Man City)

Erik Lamela has not featured for more than a month due to a hamstring complaint, and he remains under assessment with an outside chance of being involved this weekend.

Moussa Sissoko

Status: Out Type of injury: Groin Possible return date: Unknown

Moussa Sissoko was forced off before half time against Man City on Wednesday and is unlikely to have recovered from his groin problem in time for this trip to the Etihad, with Pochettino admitting that he was "not optimistic" about the news.

Vincent Janssen

Status: Out Type of injury: Ankle Possible return date: Unknown

An outcast in the first-team squad more much of the season, Vincent Janssen is due to return to training on Friday following an ankle injury.

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR'S SUSPENSION LIST
