Sports Mole previews the action from Tottenham Hotspur's pre-season friendly against La Liga side Espanyol.

Tottenham Hotspur take on Espanyol at White Hart Lane this Saturday in their final pre-season friendly ahead of the new campaign.

Spurs have won just once in five attempts over the summer, but their lone victory was a resounding 6-0 thumping of South China.

New signing Roberto Soldado is expected to spearhead the attack for the North London club, while defender Jan Vertonghen could be given a run-out to gain match fitness following a spell on the sidelines.

Gareth Bale is unlikely to feature while his Spurs future lies in the balance.

The match will also serve as Espanyol's final warm-up for the new season following last weekend's draw with Montpellier. Their league campaign gets underway at Celtic Vigo on August 18.

Possible starting lineups

Spurs: Lloris; Walker, Fryers, Livermore, Vertonghen; Dembele, Parker; Lennon, Chadli, Soldado; Defoe

Espanyol: Kiko Casilla, Mattioni, Abraham, Sergio G, Lanza, H. Moreno, David López, Capdevila, Colotto, Wakaso, Pizzi

Sports Mole says: 2-1
