Roberto Soldado: 'Tottenham Hotspur must remain positive'

Tottenham striker Roberto Soldado calls on his teammates to remain positive following Saturday's 4-1 defeat to Manchester City, in which he missed a penalty.

Roberto Soldado has urged his Tottenham Hotspur teammates to remain positive following their defeat to Manchester City.

Spurs suffered another heavy loss to the Blues at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday as Sergio Aguero found the net four times to give the Premier League champions a 4-1 win.

Soldado, who missed a penalty that would have made it 2-2, now wants Tottenham to look ahead as they prepare for Thursday's Europa League encounter with Asteras Tripolis at White Hart Lane.

"Now we need to forget this game ahead of Thursday and Sunday and look forward," he told the club's official website. "We are producing some good performances and we need to keep this going. I am working hard and I think the goals are coming soon."

Saturday's defeat has left Spurs in ninth place in the Premier League table.
