Leicester City boss Claudio Ranieri "surprised" Tottenham Hotspur are yet to win

Leicester City boss Claudio Ranieri admits that he is "surprised" that Tottenham Hotspur have failed to win either of their first two games of the Premier League season.

Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri has admitted that he is "surprised" that Tottenham Hotspur are yet to pick up a win in the Premier League.

The North London outfit suffered a 1-0 defeat to Manchester United on the opening day of the season.

A 2-2 draw against Stoke City followed, while the Foxes have started the campaign brightly with two consecutive victories.

On Saturday, Ranieri's side will go head to head with Tottenham at the King Power Stadium.

"I'm very surprised [that they have not won yet] because Tottenham is a good team," Ranieri told the club's official website. "In the last six years, they achieved European qualification five times.

"That means for us it's a very tough challenge but I'm very happy to see what we can do to improve because now arrives a big team with big players and it's important to look at the difference between us and them - the gap. This is important to me."

Leicester have scored six goals so far in the campaign.
