Mauricio Pochettino takes "positives" from Tottenham's loss to MLS All-Stars

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino says that he can take "positives" from his side's pre-season 2-1 defeat to MLS All-Stars.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has claimed that there are plenty of "positives" to take from his side's pre-season defeat to MLS All-Stars in the United States.

The Premier League outfit conceded goals by Brazilian star Kaka and ex-Barcelona forward David Villa, but last season's Young Player of the Year Harry Kane was able to pull one back before the end of the first half.

"We showed a good reaction after going 2-0 down, scored to make it 2-1 and created chances but only scored one goal," Pochettino told the club's official website.

"It was a difficult game, tough and the players felt it a little in the altitude, but in the end there were lots of positives, and a lot of things that we need to improve as well."

The North London club will begin the new season against Manchester United at Old Trafford on August 8.
