Scott Parker has admitted that he has been thinking about getting recalled to the England squad recently.
The Tottenham Hotspur midfielder has been building his fitness after missing the start of the season with an injury that he sustained while on international duty.
The 32-year-old told The People: "Over the last couple of weeks I've thought 'right I'm slowly getting there' and I was pleased with the way things went against Inter.
"England is still at the forefront of my mind. I'd love to be involved again."
Parker has earned 17 caps for England, captaining the side in February 2012.
