Former Blackburn defender Ryan Nelsen has described his move to Tottenham as "a wee bit weird".
The 34-year-old completed his move to Spurs on Thursday after his contract with Blackburn was cancelled, and the New Zealand international has admitted his shock at the move.
"It's a wee bit weird at the moment. I have been trying to kick most of the guys in that dressing room for the last few years," Nelsen told The Mirror.
"But I am obviously really excited and delighted at the opportunity. Looking from afar it appeared such an exciting place to be so amongst it now is pretty cool."
Nelsen could feature when Tottenham travel to Liverpool on Monday evening.
