Tottenham confirm that Michael Dawson will be out of action for 10 to 12 weeks after a scan on his injured ankle.

Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that Michael Dawson is expected to be sidelined 10 to 12 weeks with an ankle injury.

The England international went for a scan today, which confirmed that the defender has suffered a ruptured ligament in his right ankle.

Dawson picked up the injury during Spurs' 3-1 win over Stevenage in the FA Cup last night.

It is becoming increasingly likely that the length of absence for the 28-year-old could hamper his chances of being called up for the European Championships this summer.
