Manchester City assistant manager David Platt reveals that Sergio Aguero is a doubt for Sunday's clash against Tottenham Hotspur due to a hamstring strain.

Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero could be sidelined for this Sunday's Premier League encounter against Tottenham Hotspur.

The Argentina international was taken off in the second half of City's slender 1-0 win over Wigan Athletic last night with a hamstring complaint.

"He has got a problem, but it was a slight problem," London 24 quotes assistant manager David Platt as saying.

"It was more of a precaution than anything else. He felt his hamstring tighten up. Just the sheer proximity of the game on Sunday would say he is a doubt."

City are now 13 points adrift of Manchester United following the Red Devils' 2-2 draw with West Ham United.
