Emmanuel Adebayor has urged his Tottenham Hotspur teammates to show that they are still title contenders.
Spurs lost ground on Manchester City and Manchester United at the top of the Premier League table as a result of their 5-2 defeat to rivals Arsenal on Sunday.
However, Adebayor believes that Spurs are capable of reversing their fortunes, starting with this weekend's home fixture against United.
"If you want to be champions these games against the likes of Manchester United are the kind of games we have to be winning," Adebayor told the club's official website.
"The Arsenal game has been a tough one, the defeat is very heavy, but we have to carry on.
"We have to keep focused. We have to show character in front of our fans and manage to win that game."
Adebayor joined Spurs on a loan basis from Man City last summer.
