Tottenham lineup vs. Hoffenheim: Predicted XI for Europa League away day in Germany

Four teenagers to start in Sinsheim? Spurs predicted lineup vs. Hoffenheim

Spurs' injury problems show no signs of letting up ahead of their trip to Hoffenheim in the Europa League on Thursday evening.

Another three players were added to the injury list ahead of their defeat against Everton on Sunday, with Dominic Solanke, Brennan Johnson and Yves Bissouma all picking up issues in the days prior.

That came a few days after Timo Werner was ruled out for the next three weeks with a hamstring tweak, joining Destiny Udogie, Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero on the sidelines with similar problems.

Ben Davies did make a much welcome return to the team at the weekend after six weeks out himself, but Radu Dragusin was forced off at half time following a whack to the face from Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Dragusin's availability will be decisive in the role Archie Gray plays in this fixture, and the 18-year-old is already a record breaker, becoming the first English teenager to play 90 minutes in six European matches across one campaign, many of which have come at centre-back.

While Spurs are short on defensive numbers, problems have arisen again in goal too, with Antonin Kinsky not available due to being unregistered.

With Guglielmo Vicario out for the next few months and Fraser Forster out of the picture at present, that means Brandon Austin may come in for a second Spurs start, after making his full debut in the 2-1 defeat to Newcastle United earlier this month.

It could be an evening for inexperienced squad members to prove what they can do, with Austin and Gray likely to be joined in the team by Will Lankshear and Mikey Moore in attack.

Moore put in the cross that saw Richarlison score Spurs' second goal at Goodison on Sunday, and both could come into the starting XI after returning from lengthy absences in the past week.

Tottenham Hotspur possible starting lineup: Austin; Porro, Dragusin, Davies, Gray; Bentancur, Bergvall, Kulusevski; Richarlison, Lankshear, Moore
