Clint Dempsey: 'We were unlucky not to score'

Tottenham Hotspur forward Clint Dempsey has claimed that his side were unlucky not to score against Lazio in the Europa League this evening.

The American was one of three Spurs players to have a goal disallowed at White Hart Lane, but the match ended 0-0.

"I thought I'd opened my account. It's the way it goes sometimes. They were tough to break down. We were unlucky to not get a goal," said Dempsey after the game.

"I haven't played many games this season. I'm trying to create chances and get on the end of things."

The result leaves Spurs third in Group J, with NK Maribor defeating Panathinaikos 3-0 in tonight's other game.
