Tottenham Hotspur team news: Injury, suspension news vs. Maccabi Haifa

Spurs injury, suspension list vs. Maccabi Haifa

Tottenham Hotspur are next in action on Thursday evening when they take on Maccabi Haifa for a place in the Europa League group stages.

The fixture comes just 48 hours after Spurs played host to Chelsea in the EFL Cup fourth round, a match which the North Londoners won via a penalty shootout.

Although Spurs were able to come through that contest unscathed, Jose Mourinho still has fitness concerns to contend with ahead of their most important game of this season so far.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Tottenham's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the meeting with the Israeli side.

Son Heung-min

Status: Out Type of injury: Hamstring Possible return date: October 17 (vs. West Ham United)

Son sustained a hamstring injury against Newcastle United last weekend, subsequently sidelining him for the next few weeks. Mourinho has suggested that the South Korea international may be in a position to return after the international break.

Gareth Bale

Status: Out Type of injury: Knee Possible return date: October 17 (vs. West Ham)

Despite claims that Bale may be able to return from a knee injury for the fixture with Manchester United, it appears likely that the Wales international will be eased back into training ahead of his second debut. As it stands, the Real Madrid loanee will be targeting a place on the substitutes' bench against West Ham.

TOTTENHAM'S SUSPENSION LIST

Spurs have no suspension concerns ahead of Thursday's encounter.
