Vicente del Bosque reveals that he thinks Spain's World Cup qualifier against France will have a cup-tie atmosphere because of the magnitude of the match.

Vicente del Bosque has insisted that his Spain side are ready to face France and revealed that he expects the match to have the feel of a knockout tie.

Spain and France both possess 100% records so far in World Cup qualifying heading into the match at the Vicente Calderon.

Del Bosque told reporters that he can understand the importance being placed on the Madrid showdown and has prepared his side accordingly.

He said: "Yes we want to take a step closer to qualification. It seems that one of the two countries will qualify in
top spot and so it becomes a knockout cup tie.

"When we finish this match there will still be a lot to play for but it seems these two matches against the French are vital in this group."

The reigning world champions warmed up for the showpiece qualifier with a 4-0 rout of Belarus in which Barcelona forward Pedro score an impressive treble.
