Del Bosque opens door for Torres

Spain boss Vicente del Bosque has refused to rule out a Spain return for Atletico Madrid striker Fernando Torres.

Torres, 32, has netted in each of his last five appearances for Atletico and with Chelsea's Diego Costa out of favour under Del Bosque, calls for the former Liverpool striker to be included in Spain's European Championship squad have grown.

When questioned on a possible spot for Torres, Del Bosque insisted that he is keeping all options open.

"We won't marginalise anyone because we only want to choose the best players. Except those don't wish to be called up on their own accord, anyone is in a position to be called up [for Euro 2016]," Marca quotes Del Bosque as saying.

"We'll try to pick our best XI and then God will say whether [the players we select] can play. We'll choose those who are most deserving and represent us in the best way possible, both in goal and any other position."

Torres, who has not played for Spain since 2014, has struck 10 goals in 37 appearances for Atletico this season.
