Spain, Russia fined by UEFA

The football federations of Spain and Russia have been fined by UEFA relating to the racist behaviour of fans at Euro 2012.

Russia have been ordered to pay €30,000 (£24,000) after monkey noises were directed at Czech Republic defender Theodor Gebre Selassie during the Group A encounter on June 8 in Wroclaw.

Meanwhile, Spain have been fined €20,000 (£16,000) as a result of their fans' abuse of Italy forward Mario Balotelli on June 10.

Russia have now been fined over their fans' conduct at all three of their tournament matches.
