Southampton boss Nigel Adkins has reportedly targeted Stoke City defender Matthew Upson.
Upson, 32, has struggled for first-team football since joining the Potters on a free transfer last summer, making just 10 Premier League appearances this season.
Adkins is preparing a £500,000 bid as he attempts to ready his side for next season, according to The Sun.
Upson has 21 England caps to his name.
